This is popular with the Disney Princesses. In chronological order; Snow White wears blue and red headbands each with a bow on top; Cinderella has a white headband with a bow on it, a silver headband, and a white crown; Aurora has a black headband and tiara, Ariel has a white pearl barrette, large blue bow tied into a ribbon, and tiara•; Jasmine has blue, purple and gold crowns with bands tying her hair, Tiana has a white feather and silver, green, and gold tiaras, and Rapunzel has flowers and a tiara.

• Alice is not a princess but wears the classic "Alice band' from the Tenniel illustrations

•Coraline has a dragonfly.
After Elsa creates her signature blue dress in Frozen, she makes a couple snowflake decorations in her hair.
Vanellope von Schweetz in Wreck-It Ralph takes it Up to Eleven; she seems to have stuck roughly 40 small pieces of candy, including a peppermint disk and a gummy bear, onto her own hair. (Though Ralph says she has "dirty hair"; maybe that's what dirty hair looks like in a world where everything, including the dirt, is made of candy.) Her ponytail is tied with a licorice stick. Some of the other Sugar Rush racers have candy in their hair too, though not to Vanellope's extent. Minty Zaki has a large candy wrapper tied in a bow, Snowanna Rainbeau has a spoon in her sherbet-looking Funny Afro where a hair comb would stereotypically be, and for a male example, Rancis Fluggerbutter has a peanut butter cup on the side of his head.
Matilda: Matilda always wore a hair ribbon that she tied into a bow.

Blossom of the Powerpuff Girls wears a bow and a hairclip.
Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls is almost never seen without a colorful headband of some sort, though occasionally she'll wear a bow or a flower instead.
